Property Description

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" -- Leonardo da Vinci. Highfield House......a stunning work of mid-century modernist architecture. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who is considered by many to be one of the most influential architects of the period, this building is one of less than 10 residential projects he accepted in his lifetime. The 15-story structure has the appearance of floating 20 feet above the ground, supported by concrete columns and a 2-story, glass lobby in the center, giving residents the feeling of being one with nature. Unit 404 is a large, east-facing, one bedroom with over 900 square feet. Heat, air conditioning, cooking gas, hot water and extra storage are included in the monthly fee. Full service building with a 24-hour front-desk. Convenient to Johns Hopkins University, Union Memorial Hospital, Penn Station, shops and restaurants.
